Even though 10-year-old Hagan Laidlaw had met Clemson University football coach Dabo Swinney before Monday, that didn’t keep the young Tigers fan from getting excited about the chance to do it again.
“I was ecstatic,” he said. “It was very cool.”
Laidlaw and his family were just a few of roughly 350 Clemson fans who got to meet Swinney, along with associate men’s basketball coach Mike Winiecki, Monday night during the annual Greenwood stop of the Clemson Prowl and Growl tour at Greenwood Presbyterian Church.

Swinney and Winiecki spent nearly an hour and a half signing posters, shirts, hats and other memorabilia.
Swinney even signed a few oranges, representative of his team’s victory in last season’s Orange Bowl, before he and Winiecki took to the stage to field questions from fans about their respective programs.
