A Honea Path faces drug charges after Abbeville County deputies discovered a marijuana field on his property earlier this month.
Timothy Timberlake, 50, 0f 704 Princeton Highway, was charged with manufacturing marijuana in connection with the incident.
Deputies arrested the man June 11 after finding 58 marijuana plants in a wooded area on his land. Officials estimated they seized about $10,000 in drugs from the bust.
According to an Abbeville County Sheriff’s Office incident report, someone reported seeing a number of what appeared to be pot plants growing in the field while they were hog hunting on property near the Sullivan Circle.
ACSO officials said deputies uprooted the plants and sent them to the S.C. Law Enforcement Division for analysis.
