There are 5,167 military veterans currently living in Greenwood County.
Those veterans have given much to the county, state and nation.
On Tuesday, Greenwood County Council heard discussion about upcoming plans to remember and honor the men and women who have served in the Armed Forces.


Local veterans filled the American Veterans Auditorium at Greenwood County Library for Tuesday night’s regular meeting of Council.
Jim Dominick, of the Veterans Hall of Heroes, Inc. board of directors, made a presentation to the council about future plans for an exterior memorial plaza on the grounds of the Greenwood County Veterans Center, which is located on Main Street in the old library building.
