A Hodges man was arrested during the weekend after officers found drugs in a vehicle involved in a crash.
Terrence Jackson, 26, of 104 Delta Drive, was charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana in connection with the incident.
Officers took the man into custody late Friday afternoon. He was released on a $5,000 personal recognizance bond Saturday, according to court records. According to a Greenwood County incident report:
Troopers from the South Carolina Highway Patrol detained the suspect, who they encountered after responding to a wreck at U.S. Highway 25 and S.C. Highway 254 Friday afternoon. The troopers found two mason jars containing a substance believed to be marijuana and a .32-caliber revolver in the vehicle the suspect was driving. Agents from the multi-jurisdictional Drug Enforcement Unit arrived to assist and searched the suspect, finding $767 in cash in his pockets. Officers seized the money and the weapon and determined there was 50 grams of the suspected marijuana substance.
