Three Greenwood men and two Greenwood juveniles were arrested Sunday morning after officers discovered an apparent meth party in the Scotch Cross cul-de-sac.
Charles Poland, 21, of 115 Annette Way; Charlie Martin II, 22, of 109 Lynn St.; and Stewart Eddy, 22, of 222 Charles Drive, were each charged with a count of manufacturing methamphetamine in connection with the incident. Records indicated that two teenage girls - 15 and 16 - were also arrested at the scene and booked on charges related to the manufacturing of meth.
According to a Greenwood County incident report, deputies began patrolling the area after reports of gunshots being fired near the south Greenwood home. Officers went to the home to question about the gunshots, and one of the female suspects came to the door. Officers noted that she began acting nervous and subsequently told the deputies that there were drugs in the residence.
Officers searched the home and found traces of meth, and several items commonly used to cook the drug, according to the report. One of the bottles found contained a white substance that field tested positive for ephedrine, and a substance found in a coffee filter tested positive for meth. Deputies also found ingredients in a vehicle parked at the home.
