Narcotics officers arrested two men after searching a home and allegedly finding more than three pounds of marijuana and numerous guns.
The Greenwood Drug Enforcement Unit arrested Kevin Darnell Holiday, 23, of Stonehaven Drive, Greenwood, and charged him with possession with intent to distribute marijuana.
Also arrested was Nytrent Raheem Edwards, 19, of Byrd Street, Greenwood, who also was charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana.
According to DEU reports, officers went Wednesday to conduct a search warrant at a residence on Independence Way. After arriving at the home and not receiving an answer after knocking, officers used a battering ram to gain entry.
After securing the two suspects, officers reportedly found a bag containing 11 grams of marijuana in Edwards' possession.
Officers then set about searching the residence. Some of the items officers allegedly found in the home included 3.62 pounds of marijuana, three digital scales and numerous "sandwich bags" often used to bag drugs, an RG23 revolver, a Flint Lock pistol, a Haskell .45 caliber handgun, a 12-gauge pump shotgun, two Ruger handguns and various ammunition.
According to the report, both of the suspects denied the marijuana belonged to them. Both suspects also told officers they did not know who the drugs belonged to.
The men were taken to Greenwood County Detention Center.
