A Greenwood man was arrested after he allegedly punched another man and pulled a gun on him.
Greenwood Police arrested Trakas Lajohn English, aka "Trake Man," 24, of Osborne Avenue, Greenwood and charged him with first degree assault and battery and pointing and presenting a firearm.
According to GPD reports, officers responded June 9 to Emerald Creek apartments, where they spoke with the alleged victim. The report said the victim had a towel over his mouth that was "covered in blood."
The victim told officers he was at the incident location and needed a lighter to light a cigarette. He said he approached the suspect and asked him if he had a lighter.
According to the report, the suspect then punched the victim in the mouth and chin area, pulled out a black handgun and said, "I don't (expletive) with you."
The suspect reportedly soon left the scene in a white Nissan.
The victim said his jaw was in "extreme pain," and he was taken to Self Regional Medical Center.
Physicians at the hospital later told officers some of the victim's teeth were knocked out of place and they were in the process of having X-rays completed.
Warrants were obtained for English and he was arrested Tuesday.
