One man was arrested following a drug bust in Mathews Mill Village on Tuesday night.
Sherard Williams, 28, of 702 Holloway Ave., Greenwood, was charged with distribution of crack cocaine, manufacture, distribution of cocaine base and possession of crack cocaine in connection with the incident.
Agents from Greenwood County's drug enforcement unit responded to the suspect's home at the south end of the mill village about 9:45 p.m. Tuesday.
According to a county incident report, officers used a drug-sniffing K9 to search the residence and a car parked outside the home. The search yielded a Colt Detective .38-caliber special, .38-caliber ammo, a set of digital scales and about 2.5 grams of a substance thought to be marijuana. Agents also found a small amount of crack and $941 in the pocket of a pair of coveralls hanging in a bedroom closet. When questioned about the coveralls in which the drugs and money was found, the suspect told officers it was his "trap suit."
