Greenwood police are investigating reports of a brutal kidnapping late Monday night along south Main Street.
According to a Greenwood police report, the attack took place about 10:20 p.m. in the lobby of a McDonald's at 1204 S. Main St. Witnesses described the suspect as a white male in his early 20s. One of the cashiers indicated the suspect approached the counter to order food then said, "I don't want you to take my order."

The suspect then approached a white male sitting in a booth and punched the man on the side of the head, knocking him unconscious, witnesses said. The man then grabbed the victim by the feet, dragged him out of the booth, picked him up, tossed his slumped body over his shoulder and carried the victim out of the restaurant.
Witnesses told officers the suspect placed the man in a white vehicle that left the parking lot on Wells Avenue heading toward the Self Regional Medical Center. The vehicle was said to be a 2012 Hyundai Sonata out of Lexington.
