A Greenwood woman was arrested early Sunday morning following an altercation along Creswell Avenue.
Raqountra Morton, 30, of 105 Bell Circle, Greenwood, was charged with first-degree burglary in connection with the incident.
Officers were dispatched to the residence in the 300 block of West Creswell just before 4 a.m. following reports a woman was busting windows out at the home.
According to a Greenwood police report:
Police arrived at the home and found a vehicle, which the suspect was driving, leaving the home. Officers stopped the vehicle down the road from the scene and noted there were two other women inside. Police found the suspect with large pools of blood on her hands and legs.
The woman told officers she went to the home to confront a man with whom she had dated about her car being vandalized recently. The man was not home. She said she thought he would be at the house, indicating she busted out windows at the home and climbed through the broken glass.
Officers found a metal baseball bat inside the woman's car. She said she found it after she broke the windows out, and intended to re-enter the residence to use it before police arrived.
