New task force investigating weekend shooting

Greenwood County's Violent Crimes Task Force is investigating a shooting that reportedly took place in the Raintree neighborhood late Saturday night.
Officers responded to an apartment complex along Stonehaven Drive and found the victim lying on the ground, bleeding from several gunshot wounds as a cluster of residents gathered around him.
According to a Greenwood County incident report:
Officers found bullet wounds in the man's right shoulder and right thigh. The victim said two unknown masked man approached from the side of the apartment and opened fire on him before fleeing the scene. He was transported to Self Regional Medical Center for treatment.
Investigators found a spent .380-caliber shell casing on the sidewalk in front of the apartment unit, and three more on the front porch. A witness approached officers and said a bullet was fired into his apartment during the shooting. The witness turned over a projectile that wound up on his living room floor.
