Noodle tiff leads to drug, weapons charges

Ricky Griffin, 24, of 758 Truett St., Greenwood, was charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana and possession of a stolen pistol in connection with the incident, which occurred about 9:30 Saturday night.
Greenwood police responded to the suspect's home initially to investigate an argument between the man and his girlfriend. Both parties told officers the dispute was over noodles. According to a city police report, officers then noted the smell of marijuana and obtained a warrant to search the home.Police found 3.1 pounds of a substance believed to be marijuana throughout the home, a set of digital scales, 23 Klonopin pills, and a .38-caliber Smith & Wesson revolver. The gun was confirmed as stolen through a national database. Rental documents inside the house confirmed that the suspect was renting the property.
