An investigation into a prostitution ring late last year involving an underage girl led to another suspect's arrest this week.
Greenwood police took Esteban Jacome, 27, of 126 Oakland St., into custody Monday morning. He faces charges of second-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor under 16 and participating in the prostitution of a minor in connection with the incident, according to Greenwood County court records.
Jacome became the second man arrested this month and the sixth person booked on charges stemming from the events, which unfolded during a multi-day span between Nov. 29 and Dec. 4.

Jose Martinez, 26, of 207 New Market St., Greenwood, was arrested March 3 and faces the same charges as Jacome in connection with the allegations.
Investigators arrested three other Greenwood men and a Greenwood woman in December after learning of the activities involving the teen, who was 15 at the time of the alleged sex acts. Luther Belcher III, 39, of 551 Baptist Ave., was arrested Dec. 17, and Kevin Ross, 37, of 511 Griffin Ave., was the first suspect taken into custody when he was arrested Dec. 12.
Both men were booked on the same charges Martinez and Jacome face. Records show those four men are still in custody.
