Deputies arrested a man, who now faces drug charges, following a traffic stop late Wednesday night in Ware Shoals.
Allen Robinson, 35, of 210 Piedmont Ave., Greenwood, was charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine and simple possession of marijuana in connection with the incident.
Greenwood County deputies patrolling the area of North Greenwood Avenue spotted a vehicle driving erratically just after 11:45 p.m. and made a traffic stop. According to a Greenwood County incident report, the suspect, who was driving the car, appeared nervous when officers approached the vehicle. When asked if there was anything illegal inside the vehicle, the man told officers there was about a half ounce of marijuana. Deputies then searched the car and found a bag that contained 19.5 grams of a substance believed to be marijuana under the steering column, a digital scale and a small amount of cocaine in one of the suspect's pockets.
