Ware Shoals man faces criminal domestic violence charges

A Ware Shoals man is in custody following a domestic dispute.
Marcus Kirk, 28, was arrested on charges of criminal domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature and two charges of pointing and presenting a firearm at a person.
According to a Ware Shoals Police Department report:
The victim said the suspect grabbed her, pushed her down and "may have pointed a gun at her."
Another officer arrived and said he saw the suspect about 10 minutes prior carrying a backpack.
After a patrol, the officers began questioning the suspect about the incident. The suspect admitted to an argument but denied having a gun. When asked about the bookbag, the suspect said he did not have one.
Upon returning to the original address, another victim approached the officers and asked the officers what they were going to do about the suspect pointing a gun at her son.
The juvenile said the suspect pointed a gun at him and said he should leave.
Another witness present at the scene said he knew the suspect, and he knew the suspect possessed a .38-caliber handgun.
