Ware Shoals police arrested a man Wednesday thought to be involved in a break-in during the weekend.
Galvin Davis, 43, of 24 S. Riegel St., Ware Shoals, was charged with second-degree burglary and petit larceny in connection with the incident.
Police saw the man walking down North Greenwood Avenue near Fleming Street early Saturday morning pushing a grocery cart with a large trash bag inside. According to a Ware Shoals incident report:
When the patrolman turned his vehicle around to question the suspect, he dumped the cart and took off running. Officers found two cases of 10W-40 Napa oil, a case of premium Napa ATF and a Napa car battery inside the bag. Police questioned the local Napa store and determined it was broken into that night. Officers were able to apprehend the suspect early Wednesday morning on East Cork Street.
