Greenwood Partnership Alliance CEO Mark Warner is resigning from the public/private economic development firm and is set to take a job as director of business development with Davis & Floyd.
Warner has been with Partnership Alliance since 2007 and has been the organization's CEO since 2009. During his time leading the Partnership, the organization announced more than 800 new jobs and $110 million in capital investment, while also completing a new strategic plan and undertaking a capital campaign that raised more than $3 million.
Veteran economic developer Heather Simmons Jones will step in as the interim CEO of the Partnership. She is set to formally begin that role next week. Simmons Jones will also lead a national search for Warner's full-time successor.
