A Greenwood woman was arrested following reports of a January burglary at a Promised Land home.
Jennifer Forrester, 27, of 1010 Grace St., was charged with first-degree burglary and petit larceny in connection with the incident.
The robbery took place at a residence along Wilson Avenue just off S.C. Highway 10. The victim reported the break-in to police Jan. 20.
According to a Greenwood police report, the victim said he works out of town at a Greenville automobile plant and only lives at the home every other week. He told officers someone stole his black onyx diamond jewelry set within the past month. The set contained a bracelet, necklace and earrings, which were all stored in jewelry boxes inside his closet, he said.
The victim said his roommate told him he returned home from a trip to the store Dec. 27 and spotted an unfamiliar woman leaving the residence. The woman identified herself as the suspect and told the roommate she was looking for someone who did not live there. He said the woman denied taking the jewelry when he confronted her about it.
