Cora Lee Louden Lindsey, 77, of 606 Magnolia Drive, widow of Robert Lindsey, died on Sunday, June 22, 2014 at her home. Born in Greenwood, she was the daughter of the late James Louden and the late Geneva Dean Louden. She was a faithful member of Flint Hill Missionary Baptist Church, where she served as a Sunday School Teacher, Choir President and as a Missionary. She is preceded in death by one son, James Lindsey and one sister, Joanne Stanley.
She leaves to cherish her memories, two sons, Robert (Emma) Lindsey, Jr. of Greenwood and Ronald Lindsey of Terra Holt, Ind.; one daughter, Cynthia (Jimmie) Watts, of Stone Mountain, Ga.; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Services are 11:30 a.m. on Friday, June 27, 2014 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Coronaca, conducted by Rev Kimberly Martin. The body will be placed in the church at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Mt. Tabor Baptist Church Cemetery. The family is at the home and will receive friends at the home from 6-8 p.m. this evening.
