Deloris Elizabeth "Miss Dee" Warren, 71, died January 9, 2014 at Hospice House of Greenwood.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, November 26, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Robert Minus and Jestine Elizabeth Caldwell. She received a Nursing Degree during 1970. Ms. Warren was formerly employed by Fairview Medical Center Minneapolis, MN, Recovery Center at Self Regional, Abbeville County Memorial Hospital and PSA, retiring with over 40 years of nursing service. Ms Warren also was the owner of Palmetto Substance Abuse Consultants Inc. from 1994-1997.  She was an avid collector of antiques and collectibles and former owner of Miss Dee's Antiques in the Town of Hodges.
She was a member of Pine Grove AME Church Hodges where she was a member of the Missionary and Stewardess Boards. Ms. Warren was a plant and flower lover displaying a yard full of beautiful flowers, plants and shrubs.
Surviving are two children, daughter Kiska of the home and son Jorge Jones and wife Linda of Hodges, one brother, James M. Caldwell of Hodges, two grandchildren, Eric B. Jones and Andre' Q. Jones, one great-granddaughter Jazzlinn N.L. Jones, one nephew James D. Caldwell, one niece Gwyn M. Caldwell and a host of cousins.
The family is at the home of Jorge and Linda Jones, 4924 Hwy 178 N. in Hodges.
Memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday January 15, 2014 at Pine Grove AME Church, 211 Piney Grove Church Rd, Hodges SC 29653.
