CHAPPELLS — Dorothy Lowe Weedman, 78, resident of 1292 Riviera Drive, widow of Charles Desmond Weedman, Jr., died March 5, 2014, at her home.
Born November 14, 1935, in Spartanburg, she was a daughter of the late Marvin Stanley and Julia Faye Peebles Lowe. She was a graduate of Mountain View High School in Travelers Rest and Draughns Business School in Columbia. Mrs. Weedman was retired from Goodwill Industries in Greenville as Personnel Administrator, and was previously employed with Sears Contract Sales.
She was a member of Chappells Baptist Church and was a former board member and past director of the Greenville Personnel Association.
Surviving are four daughters, Patricia A. Tinsley of Piedmont, Linda K. (Jim) Sullivan of Greenville, Rebecca R. McKinney of Spartanburg and Donna M. Morgan of Oxford, NC; two sons, Timothy A. (Nicole) McKinney of Olive Branch, MS, and Christopher P. McKinney of Chappells; a sister, Barbara Powers of Mauldin; fifteen grandchildren, Jason Phillips, James Sullivan, Brandi Sullivan, Casey Crew, Brandon Crew, Megan Blalock, Josh Hudson, Jeremy McMahon, Ashlee Morgan, Carson McKinney, Camden McKinney, Emily McKinney, Dakota McKinney, Katry Sherlin and Justin Davis; nineteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Blyth Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Robert Dorn officiating. Burial will be in Greenville Memorial Gardens.
The family is at the home on Riviera Drive in Chappells.
