ABBEVILLE — Francis Marion Harris, 66, of 506 Branch Street, Apt. 735, died Saturday, March 22, 2014 at his home. Born June 19, 1947 in Abbeville, SC, he was the son of the late John Buster Fair and Lucille C. Robinson Harris.
Francis was a graduate of J.S.Wright High School, class of 1968. He was a member of New Faith Presbyterian Church, Abbeville SC.
He is survived by sons, Dr. Micheal Ashmore of Atlanta, GA, Gregory Williams and Joseph Rayford of Abbeville SC; daughters, Stephanie Wardlaw and Peggy Thomas of Abbeville SC; a brother, Gerald L. Harris; sisters, Jacqueline H. (Eddie) Moore, Mary A. Smith, Ellen (Jesse) Leverette; a special friend, Ms. Jessie Bell Wardlaw, all of Abbeville SC; seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; an aunt, China Lee Hudson of Greenville, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews and many friends who will miss him dearly.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 28, 2014 at 1 p.m at New Faith Presbyterian Church, Hwy. 72, Abbeville, SC. Burial will follow at the Harbinson Cemetery with Dr. Alice Ridgell officiating and Rev. Julius Johnson and Rev. Kimberly Moore assisting. Public viewing will be Thursday, March 27, 2014 at the Eugene Brownlee Memorial Chapel of the Abbeville White Mortuary from 1-8 p.m.
