JOHNSTON — Gerald (Mule) Frazier, 50, passed away on Saturday morning, January 11, 2014. He was born in Edgefield, SC, son of Ethel Frazier Butler and James Thomas Miles. He was a retired construction worker. He was a member of the Mine Creek Baptist Church where he served as a Trustee and he was a member of the Masonic Lodge #118, Mens of Aide and the Mine Creek Burial Society. He was a great cook. He was a 1981 graduate of Saluda High School.
He is survived by his mother, Ethel Frazier Butler, Saluda, SC, father, James T. Miles, Edgefield, SC; wife, Annette Chappells Frazier, Saluda, SC; two sons, Gervis Antwon Cheatham and Milton F. Abney both of Saluda, SC; one daughter, Samelia Abney, Saluda, SC; five grandchildren, sister, Marie (Kenneth) Coleman, Newberry, SC; three stepsons; one stepdaughter; and other relatives.
Funeral services will be at noon Wednesday at the Mine Creek Baptist Church conducted by Pastor George Key and Reverend James E. Reed, presiding. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 11 a.m. Public viewing will begin today 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
