Quotetia “QT” Galloway was called to her everlasting praise on May 3, 2014. Q.T. was born February 22, 1975 to Ms. Joyce Galloway and Mr. Rufus Irby.
Q.T. was a member of Glover’s AME Church, where she loved the Lord and she loved to “Dance” in his presence. She was a graduate of Greenwood High, and also Lander University. She was also a self-employed tax preparer and tutor.
Q.T. was preceded in death by her grandparents Deacon John Galloway, L.C., Warreno Burke-Irby and Janie Allen.
Cherishing her precious memories are: her sons, Xabri “Zay” Galloway-Williams and Christian Galloway of the home; her mother, Evangelist Joyce Galloway of Abbeville, SC; father, Rufus (Loris) Irby of Greenville, SC; sister, Deaconess and Deacon Tassie (Greg) Cureton of Simpsonville, SC; grandmother, Mother Sallie Galloway of Willington, SC; a grandson, Kaleb Galloway of Greenwood, SC; nieces, Tazmine Galloway and Tajiana Carter, both of Simpsonville, SC; God-sister, Malcoma (Kenny) Ekeogu of Conyers, GA; uncles, Bradley Gray, Warren Irby, Robert (Deborah) Galloway, McCledis Galloway, Ronnie (Sandra) Galloway, Barry (Ida) Galloway, Lester Galloway, Vernon (Sandy) Wilber Galloway (Monica) and John Tyron Galloway; aunts, Jeannie Irby, Lucy Irby, Doretta Shay Galloway and Travena Galloway; one great-aunt, Emma McDuffie of Anderson, SC.
Services will be held on Friday, May 9, 2014 at 12 noon at Glover’s AME Church, Pastor John W. Paul, officiating and Pastor Vernon Galloway, eulogist. Remains will lie in state at the church at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Public viewing is Thursday, May 8, 2014 from 1 to 8 p.m. at the mortuary.
