DUE WEST — Sallie Marshall Donald, 65, of 5 Marshall Lane, Due West, SC, was born June 3, 1948 in Abbeville County to the late Jimmie Anderson and Marion Marshall Downs. She departed this life on December 26, 2013 at her home.
Sallie was a graduate of J.S. Wright High School, Abbeville, SC. She was a member of Campfield Baptist Church where she attended faithfully until her health declined. She was a member of the usher board, senior ministry and former member of the sanctuary choir.
Sallie retired from the Due West Retirement Center after twenty- three years of faithful service.
She leaves to cherish fond memories one daughter; D'Jaris A. Donald of Greenwood, SC; one son, James S. (Sherrie) Donald of Due West, SC; two grandsons; one sister, Tonya Gamble of Due West, SC; one goddaughter, Serenity Washington of Abbeville, SC; a special friend, Calvin O. Ryan of Due West, SC; one aunt, Thelma Marshall of Due West, SC. She was preceded in death by one brother, Charles A. Anderson.
Services will be held today, Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at 1 p.m. at Campfield Baptist Church with Rev. Willie J. Choice, pastor, presiding. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Remains will be placed in the church at 12 p.m.
