I completely lost interest in reading your paper and the letters to the editor especially, as they all seemed so one-sided.
However, after someone called my attention to the recent letter by Susan Brown, I felt I needed to respond. First and foremost, I wish to thank her for this informational and easy to understand letter. Reading her letter renews my hope and confidence in the people of South Carolina.
It is simply amazing to me that the people who are against the Affordable Care Act most always already have insurance and they have no alternative or suggestions to replace the ACA. Basically, in their minds, people without insurance are just of no worth and out of luck. It's great to know we have a president who doesn't feel that way and if we the people can get our governor to understand and extend Medicaid to the people of South Carolina, our state would be so much better for it.
