Son thanks Greenwood for sharing mom’s life

My parents moved to Greenwood in 2005 and since then our family has enjoyed several visits. Those experiences prompted me to submit this letter.
Dad passed away in 2009 and Mom just this past month. I have had the opportunity to deal with many people in Greenwood, and I share this letter of appreciation. We enjoyed many meals at the China Garden and Ryan's where Mom loved eating desserts. I also visited the Greenwood Family Practice with Mom and the ladies were wonderful with her. So were the ladies of Park Sterling Bank, who shared a story that made me laugh. Mom was a regular at Walmart and told me of a time a kind gentleman gave her a ride home.
Our family has enjoyed stays at the Hampton Inn where hospitality was always topnotch. I've also had a few visits to Blyth Funeral Home and Greenwood's Probate Court. The courtesy extended made less than ideal situations a bit easier. I had the pleasure of dealing with Buddy at BF Adams Body Shop. He showed great kindness and patience with Mom.
On my last visit, I met your coroner, Sonny Cox. From meeting us on a Sunday evening to checking to see how we were doing, Sonny went above and beyond.
I can't fail to mention Daisy, Mom's best friend. She gave me what little peace of mind I was able to enjoy while Mom was far away and not doing well.
I offer my gratitude to all of the people of Greenwood that were a part of Mom's life.
