Traveling on the Symetra Tour can be pretty taxing. Jumping from Arizona to California to Florida and then to South Carolina in a matter of weeks takes its toll, so it helps to have a little comfort accompanying the players.
Alexandra Casi knows this very well. The East Palestine, Ohio, native drives from tournament to tournament with her boyfriend, who doubles as her caddie, and her two dogs.
“I like to see new places,” Casi said. “I like going back to places I really enjoy and seeing new states. I wouldn’t trade this lifestyle for anything.”
Moving around so often does create some issues. Casi said they basically live out of their car, and with two people and two dogs, it proves to be a lot of work packing and unpacking.
“Taking everything out of the car every week, and I have too many bags; he says I have like 50 bags,” Casi said. “And I say, ‘Tell me something I don’t need in this car, seriously, what can we get rid of?’ So, just taking everything in and out, that can be a lot.”
