The Lander University men’s golf team is slowly regaining its form.
How fast the Bearcats do that depends on how quickly top seed Rob Prior regains his form after missing time because of a broken hand. His first match since the injury is today and Tuesday’s Bobcat Invitational, hosted by Georgia College.
“He just got his cast off a week ago,” Lander coach Chipper Bagwell said. “So, I’m not sure how good he’s going to do.”

Lander will likely be eager to have him back, considering its second seed, Eder Moreno, has not been able to play this semester because he’s academically ineligible.
“We’ve had a hard time overcoming that,” Bagwell said. “So, I feel good about (Prior) being back in our lineup. He should be with us for the rest of the season. I feel we can start making progress.”
While Prior was out, the Bearcats turned to freshman Jordan Ainley, who tied with junior teammate Carlos Solis last week in Valdosta, Ga.’s Southeastern Intercollegiate, tying for 25th overall.
