Jordan Ford was an All-Lakelands honoree with Calhoun Falls Charter School's football team.
After graduating in 2011, he embarked upon another challenge: one final effort to get his test scores enough where he could sign with a four-year school.
He never gave up, though.
After signing a junior college scholarship in 2012 with Monroe (N.Y.), he battled through injuries and still played well enough to attract offers from schools like Temple, Bowling Green, Appalachian State, Idaho and 2013 Orange Bowl team Northern Illinois. But Ford chose to sign with Appalachian State, where he has already enrolled.
Rated a two-star prospect by 247Sports, he played in seven games during two seasons at Monroe. All the while, he made 24 tackles, broke up eight passes, made an interception and tackle for loss.
