The Greenwood Touchdown Club is off to a running start.
For the first time in years, it held its “Meet the Coaches” night a week earlier Monday at Greenwood American Legion Post 20. In the past, when coaches spoke, Week Zero games had already been played.

“It would kind of feel like we’re behind when we come in here and talk about football when some of us have played, and some of us had not,” Calhoun Falls Charter School football coach David Campbell said. “It’s good to have this before we ever have a game.”
Whenever football coaches gather and talk about football, it’s a good day, according to touchdown club president Bob Templeton.
