Carolina Panthers cornerback and Greenwood native Josh Norman did not have the sophomore season he hoped for, but that did not stop him from having success off the field.
Although Norman struggled to replicate the success he had as a rookie, he was able to continue to make an impact off the field through his non-profit organization, Starz24.
Today, with the second annual Josh Norman Celebrity Basketball Game at Greenwood High School, Norman will continue those off-field successes.
"It means a lot for me to come back and do this for a second year," Norman said. "I just continue to have faith and do whatever I can for my community. It means a lot that I'm able to do things like this."
The celebrity game is scheduled to feature Norman, along with Panther teammates Charles Johnson, Greg Hardy, Captain Munnerlyn and Brandon Lafell. Houston Texans safety and Greenwood native D.J. Swearinger is also expected play, along with fellow Greenwood natives and NFL free agents Sam Montgomery and Armanti Edwards.
