The Greenwood American Legion Post 20 Braves baseball team traveled to Belton for a showdown with Post 51 on Friday. The game was delayed by lightning in the top of the fifth inning with the Braves leading 3-2 and did not end by press time.
Post 20 jumped on top 1-0 in the second inning, but Belton tacked on two in the bottom of the fourth to grab a 2-1.

Trae Coleman led off the top of the fifth by drawing a walk for the Braves.
Coleman then stole second before Hamp Fallaw laid down a bunt single. Belton third baseman Mitchell Smith threw the ball away trying to get Fallaw out at first, and Coleman scored to tie the game.
Joseph Chaney followed Fallaw with a single into right field to plate Fallaw right before a bolt of lightning delayed the game.
