Kidd's heart a big part of her success

NINETY SIX — Ninety Six High School third baseman Breelyn Kidd worked incessantly last summer to improve her batting and fielding skills in hopes of helping the Wildcats' softball team this season.
The improvement is evident in the senior's statistics, which show stark improvements in batting average, on-base percentage and slugging percentage.
But while the senior has always been a solid fielder, and is evolving into a go-to contributor at the plate, there's one part of the game where Kidd has always been irreplaceable for the Wildcats.
"She's extremely passionate about the game of softball. I wish everybody had her passion," Ninety Six coach Anarie Duckett said. "That's just part of her personality. She's that kind of rah-rah person to get everybody hyped up and keep them going."
