NINETY SIX – Easley’s Chandler Pearson thinks he can do better, based on his past experience at Patriot Golf Club.
So does York’s Andrew Ward.
If they do that in today’s final round of the S.C. Festival of Flowers Men’s Golf Tournament, one of them can be champion.


Both carded scores of 2-under-par 70 Saturday in the Championship Flight. Paul Fitzgerald and Steve Liebler are tied for third at 71, and the trio of Chandler Vilcheck, Alex Finke and Christopher Finke are tied for fifth at 72. In all, there are 12 golfers within four strokes of the top group's leaders.
