Students share Southern fare
Kathleen Herriott's English 1 honors students got a taste of traditional Southern fare. To conclude their unit of study on To Kill A Mockingbird, each student prepared a Southern dish to share with the entire class. Students sampled each other's meals while viewing the classic 1962 film adaptation of To Kill A Mockingbird, starring Gregory Peck. During and after the movie, students discussed differences between the novel and the film version, deepening their comprehension of the text.
