A deputy with the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office has been placed on administrative leave without pay after a domestic dispute Saturday.
Greenwood County deputies went to Sgt. Jeremy McMahan’s residence at 8:30 p.m. Saturday, a release from the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office said.
McMahan was charged with second-degree domestic violence and taken to the Greenwood County Detention Center.
The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office will conduct an internal investigation.
