Greenwood County Drug Enforcement Unit agents were watching a residence on Drew Avenue when they saw a man drive up to the residence, go inside, then come out and drive off, the report said.
When officers caught up to the car at a nearby gas station, and after getting a woman and man out from inside the car, officers arrested the man for an active warrant for distribution of heroin, the report said.
While speaking with the woman, she told officers there was a bag with heroin and Suboxone in the car that belonged to her, the report said. Officers found the bag with eight syringes, a plastic bag with a brown powder that tested positive for heroin and another bag with a white powder that tested positive for heroin, the report said.
While searching the man's residence, officers found multiple pills, digital scales, money and a rock-like substance in a plastic bag, the report said.
Rodney Hackett, 42, of 1313 Drew Ave., Greenwood was arrested Friday and charged with distribution of heroin and possession of crack cocaine. Cori Meghan Clark, 31, of 1012 Watson Hill Road, Bradley was arrested Friday and charged with possession with intent to distribute heroin.
