Frank Donald “Donnie” Stewart, 73, resident of 201 Virginia Ave, beloved husband of Miriam Bagwell Stewart, passed away Friday, March 17, 2017 at Self Regional Medical Center surround by family which he adored.

Born in Greenwood March 12, 1944, he was the son of the late Frank Boozer and Salina Estelle Steadman Stewart. Donnie was a graduate of Newberry High School and served in the National Guard in Newberry. He retired from Fuji Film.

He was a member of Soule Chapel United Methodist Church and attended New Market Baptist Church with his family.

In addition to his loving wife of 34 years, he is survived by three special daughters, Melissa Stewart (Barry) Mayfield, Kayla Brooke Stewart and Ava Corrine Stewart, all of Greenwood; three wonderful grandchildren, Cameron Michael Schultz, Cayden Thomas Schultz and Madison Grace Mayfield, all of Greenwood; two supportive sisters, Mina Anne (John) Welsh of Lilburn, GA, and Karen Estelle (Larry) Auten of Simpsonville. He is also survived by numerous cousins.

He was predeceased and is now reunited with a grandson, Myles Scott Mayfield.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at New Market Baptist Church with Rev. Stanley Sprouse officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Woody Smith, Ken Smith, Danny Riddle, Chuck Coursey, Marvin Sudduth, Gary Faulkner, Jake Montgomery Sr. and Buddy Hastings.

Honorary Escorts will be Dink Tatum, Wayne Hughes, Tony Dorn, Danny Senn, Grady Senn, Henry Senn and Richard Skeleton.

The family is at the home on Virginia Ave and will receive friends at the church from 1-2 p.m. Monday afternoon.
